EgyptAir, the national flag carrier of Egypt has several enhancements in terms of service, it’s fleet, and also the Egyptian Airline has signed codeshare agreement. Here is a compilation of all the information till date on EgyptAir and its flights.

EgyptAir Fleet Expands:
EgyptAir has taken the delivery of second Boeing 737-800 from the pre-order of nine B737-800s in the previous year. With the latest addition of Boeing next generation 737-800 aircraft, EgyptAir fleet has reached 62 aircrafts. Boeing Next-Generation 737 is a fuel efficient aircraft and lowers the maintenance and operating costs.

In July 2016, EgyptAir had signed an agreement worth USD 864 million with Boeing to receive nine of the next-generation series planes. Already, the airline has received the first jet from the order of nine Boeing 737-800s in December 2016.

The remaining seven B737-800s will reach the fleet by the end of this year.

EgyptAir Flight Services Fasten the Security Check Procedure
Gold Track Security and Immigration– allows passengers to move through the airport (from departure to arrival) in a smoother way. Passengers can experience the seamless journey ever than before.

Now Gold Status holders, First and Business Class customers can avail the priority status at the passport control in 12 key airports. EgyptAir inks a codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways:
EgyptAir and Etihad Airways have signed a codeshare partnership to enhance the travel options between both countries – Egypt and UAE.

The partnership is effective from March 1st, 2017 in phase manner. As per the initial phase of the deal, Etihad Airways will keep its ‘EY’ code on EGYPTAIR’s flights from Abu Dhabi to Cairo; while EgyptAir will be able to place its ‘MS’ code on the Etihad Airways’ flights on Abu Dhabi – Cairo route.

Under the second phase of its partnership, Etihad Airways will be able to fly key destinations across Africa through its Cairo hub. In the same way, EgyptAir will fly to the key routes of Australia and the Far East operated by Etihad Airways’ hub-Abu Dhabi. Under the third phase of the deal, Etihad’s EY code will be placed on Egyptian domestic flights. The members of both the airlines’ loyalty programmes will earn miles on codeshare flights.
