LSD is basically a mind-altering drug and causes hallucinogenic effects. Via its interaction with serotonin receptors inside the brain. It is a neurotransmitter which is highly known to control your behavior, mood, senses, and thoughts.

The effects of this drug are unpredictable because it varies from person-to-person. If you take this drug through mouth then the first effects of the drug is felt after 30 to 45 minutes. The effects of the drug are at peak for 2 to 4 hours and can last for 8-12 hours or longer. If you take this drug with IV route you will see quicker action. Usually the effect of the drug if taken through an intravenous route can be seen within 10 minutes.

Other Effects include:
  • hallucinations
  • distorted visual perception of shapes, colors
  • altered sounds
  • anxiety and depression
  • flashbacks
  • rapid heart rate
  • increased body temperature
  • High blood pressure
  • dilated pupils

The drug can lead to Extreme changes in mood if it is taken in large or more than enough dose.This drug can also produce delusions and visual hallucinations. Overdose can also cause severe psychosis. There is no lethal dose for LSD because it depends upon the person.

Physical Effects:-
  • Nausea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Increased blood sugar
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Dry mouth
  • Tremors
  • Seizures

Some users experience impaired depth whereas some people experience time perception. Sometimes the sensation of this drug can lead you to listen to the light and see the sound. This can be frightening and causes panic to the person. You can also experience severe and terrifying thoughts or feelings. There can be fear of losing control and insanity.

The experience can be a good trip or a bad trip depending upon your mood, feelings, behaviour, atmosphere and various other things. Make sure you take enough doses of the drug. If you take an excess dose of this drug you may need to call an ambulance.
