This blog aims to shed light on BPH, its symptoms, and the advanced treatment options Dr. Ajit Yadav offers in Delhi.

Understanding BPH:
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, also known as prostate gland enlargement, is a common condition among men. It occurs as men age and is characterized by the non-cancerous growth of the prostate gland, leading to urinary symptoms. BPH can cause discomfort and affect the quality of life for those experiencing it. However, with advancements in medical technology, effective treatments are available to manage and alleviate these symptoms.

Dr. Ajit Yadav's Expertise:
Dr. Ajit Yadav is a skilled interventional radiologist at the Department of Interventional Radiology, Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi. With his extensive clinical experience, he specializes in providing a range of minimally invasive procedures to address various conditions, including BPH. Dr. Yadav's expertise extends to uterine artery embolization, bronchial artery embolization, percutaneous interventions, and more.

Minimally Invasive BPH Treatment Options:
Dr. Ajit Yadav offers a cutting-edge treatment known as Prostatic Artery Embolization (PAE). PAE is a minimally invasive procedure performed by an interventional radiologist, such as Dr. Yadav. During PAE, X-rays and advanced imaging techniques are used to guide the procedure without the need for surgery. PAE aims to improve lower urinary tract symptoms caused by BPH.

Benefits of Prostatic Artery Embolization:
Prostatic Artery Embolization offers several advantages for individuals seeking relief from BPH symptoms. Some key benefits include:

  1. Minimally Invasive: PAE is performed using a small incision, resulting in less pain, minimal scarring, and a shorter recovery time compared to traditional surgery.
  2. Preserves Sexual Function: Unlike some surgical procedures, PAE does not affect sexual function and ejaculation.
  3. Reduced Risk: PAE avoids general anesthesia and its associated risks, making it a safe option for individuals who are ineligible for surgery or prefer a non-surgical approach.
  4. Outpatient Procedure: In most cases, PAE can be performed on an outpatient basis, allowing individuals to return home on the same day.

Determining Eligibility for PAE:
During a consultation with Dr. Ajit Yadav, individuals can assess their eligibility for Prostatic Artery Embolization. Candidates for PAE are typically those who are ineligible for traditional surgery or prefer a non-surgical alternative. An examination will be conducted to evaluate the severity of BPH symptoms and their impact on the individual's quality of life.
