Easy Ways To Clean Your Kitchen Appliances
You keep a clean house, the laundry is always done, the cabinets are dust free and your kitchen is sparkling. But, how often have you deep cleaned your kitchen appliances? If you regularly wipe your appliances with a damp sponge or cloth, you may be well on your way to a germ and grim free kitchen inside and out. However, if you didn’t then the following tips to clean regularly used kitchen appliances in 3 steps or less should be handy.
Wet Grinder
Cleaning wet grinders has always been a huge problem for many in the past. These days, however, you can buy wet grinders online that have detachable lids and removal grinder stones for spotless cleaning. Remove the grinder stones along with the holder stick and rinse it under running water. Use a clean toothbrush to clean any nooks and crannies that still have batter residue. Wipe the motor with a wet cloth. Lastly, let all the parts dry. Put them all back together and it’s ready for the next batch of batter.
Mixer Grinder
The idea of scrubbing a mixer grinder can be terrifying for some and annoying for others. So why not let your blenders do all the dirty work for you? Fill the mixer with hot water, add a couple of drops of soap and run the blender like you normally would to grind. After a couple of seconds, rinse it out and it will be ready to be used again. However, it’s important that you deep clean the blender every now and then by taking it apart and giving it a good scrub.
Gas
Stove
Dirty gas stoves and burners look messy, build germs and can even be a fire hazard. Therefore, it’s imperative that they be cleaned well. Remove the grates and soak them in undiluted 1/4 cup of ammonia for several hours or even over night. Remove the grates and wash them under running water. Let them dry and admire the shiny new grate. To clean the stove top, use a paste of baking soda and hot water, let it sit for 30 minutes and scrub away to remove any oil residue. Finally, remove all detachable parts of the burner, soak them in hot soapy water for an hour. Use a pin to clean any clogs in the ports of the gas burner and voila a clean gas stove.
Microwave
Microwaves are used often, but rarely ever cleaned leading to crusted messes and greasy stains. You don’t have to use elbow grease to clean though, just let them steam. In 1/2 cup of water in a microwave safe bowl squeeze half a lemon along with a few pieces of lemon. Heat the mixture on high till the liquid starts to boil. Let the bowl sit in the microwave for 5 mins to let the lemon and steam work its magic. You can now easily wipe all the gunk away from all surfaces including the turn table.
