Easy Steps for Electronics Circuit Repair
When it comes to repairing a circuit board, the technician needs to first detect the issue and identify the parts that are not working. In large number of cases, a component level repair may be needed, i.e., where one or more elements require replacement with new ones for making the circuit working again. Most of the circuits are made up of active and passive elements. Passive elements are the ones that may not need a power source for working. For instance, capacitors and resistors are passive elements. It is easy to identify a failing passive element, but a failing chip may be difficult to detect.
Things you may require
1. Cutter
2. Elements to be replaced
3. Alcohol swaps
4. De-soldering copper braid
5. Solder
6. Soldering iron
Steps
· When you start the process of electronics repair, you need to begin with turning the soldering iron on and setting it to approximately 450 degree Celsius.
· Using de-soldering braid and soldering iron, ensure ideal remove of solder at the pins of the elements that require replacement, all the while softly pulling the elements out with the use of tweezers.
· Make sure that to apply too much force as it can result to damage to the traces on the board.
· The ideal method of de-soldering is placing the braid on the top of the soldered pin and softly pushing it with the soldering iron tip all the while pulling the elements with the use of tweezers.
· Ensure not using the de-soldering braid for passive elements. Instead softly touch the two terminal sides alternatively, in succession with the soldering iron tips, while pulling the elements using tweezers. This will result in melting the solder on the two terminals and the elements will dislocated without using any force.
· In the next step of display repair, you require removing the remaining solder at the pads with the use of de-soldering braid and the soldering iron tip.
· Using alcohol swab, you require cleaning up the pads and the space around.
· Now you require placing the new elements on the board and aligning the pins for keeping the elements in the middle of the pads.
· Finally for PLC repair, you require soldering the element pins one by one with the use of soldering iron tip and solder.
With the help of the aforementioned steps, you can ensure electronic circuits repair and restore the product back to its original position!
