E2 “Treaty Investor” VISA

E2 VISA is essential a treaty visa and is one of the members of the list of investor visas that USA has introduced enabling ease of investment there. This VISA allows High net worth citizens or nationals of 30+ countries who have trade treaties with USA, to invest in USA for the purpose of setting up a business, a practice or office. E2 VISA is purely a work visa and cannot be considered a permanent residency VISA providing Green Card. · The investor should hold a minimum of 50% stake in the business or atleast have a senior management position or leadership position in the business

· Source of investment funds should be legal.

· The investor needs to prove there is risk of investment/Loss of capital involved

· Investment must create jobs for other local residents of USA

· The business should generate good money and should be scalable

· The business must have US Business address

E2 VISA is valid for a period of 2 years and can be extended any number of times. The period of extended VISA, however, will remain 2 years.

Countries that have entered into a treaty with the USA include Italy, Ireland, Grenada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Turkey and Thailand among others.

It is possible to earn citizenship in Grenada and Turkey through their Citizenship by Investment program. Investors can now earn Grenada or Turkey‘s Citizenship with as less as USD $220,000. This is one of the easiest ways to have business presence in the USA market.

Alternatively, if the investor is ready to invest USD $900,000, then the investor is qualified to apply for US Green Card under the US EB-5 VISA Program.
