Public Relations agencies are playing a significant role for businesses.   Some think that PR services are only needed when there is a crisis.  However, businesses can often benefit from having a PR team or a PR agency on an ongoing basis.

Below are some roles and responsibilities of Public Relation companies

Media Relations - A PR agency can perform as a consultant to coach an individual such as a spokesperson of the company on how to handle themselves and stay on message during media interviews. They can also be responsible for writing and distributing press releases to the media to announce important events or company developments.

Investor Relations - A PR agency can also manage the relationship between a company and its shareholders. They may oversee press conferences, shareholder meetings, or private meetings with key investors.

Employee Relations – Employee Relations are often taken care of by the Human Resources department.  However, should there be a conflict such as employee strikes, the PR agency can be an invaluable asset to engage and communicate to the employees as well as external parties.
