Dubai Declared One Of The Best Places In The World To Live And Work

The pre-eminence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) city of Dubai is hardly a secret to our own team here at Renovo, or for that matter, any of our clients who benefit from an office, apartment or Villa Maintenance Contract with our company.

New study ranks Dubai higher than San Francisco, Sydney and Madrid

As reported by Time Out Dubai and other media outlets, a recent study by Resonance Consultancy ranked the city as the world’s ninth best, due to such factors as its good quality of life and pleasant environment.

This meant it placed higher than other renowned cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sydney, Madrid and Hong Kong. London topped the list, with Paris and New York rounding out the top three.

A wide range of factors was used to determine the ranking, such as the strength of each city’s online recommendations, attractions and infrastructure, diversity, culinary scene and business sector.

Resonance Consultancy president Chris Fair commented: “The emirate comes in at #2 in the world in our deep Place category, for which we look at influential factors like crime rate, neighbourhoods and landmarks, weather and parks and outdoor activities.

“Dubai ranks #6 in weather and finished second to only Hanoi for parks and outdoor activities.”

But the UAE’s been praised by local workers, too

As if all of the above wasn’t heart-warming enough for anyone who appreciates Dubai’s business credentials, it was only earlier this month that another survey by HSBC gave the UAE a higher placing than the US, UK, Hong Kong and Australia in its rundown of the best countries in which to work.

The bank polled more than 22,000 people working abroad for its Expat Explorer survey, which ranked the country fourth for economics. That means it has now been in the top five of this poll for three years in a row.
