How to get birth-proof
if the competent authority does not provide it?
Issuance of NABC mandates birth-proof. However, it might not be formally recorded to the MCD books. But its proof plays vital role in getting NABC as well as authentic birth certificate. Sometimes, the officials deny issuing it.
For example, if the birth occurs in a hotel under emergency,
the hotel manager or owner obviously can’t issue it. In such circumstances the
parents should obtain the statement of the owner or the witness on a letterhead
or plain paper. This paper will act as a custodial document. Then, the
application can be filed for seeking NABC.
Later, the competent authority MCD can be accessed for
issuing birth certificate.
