Covering such a vast expanse of land, Madhya Pradesh has the potential to surprise you with natural wonders in every step. Right from the “princely states” to the Wildlife sanctuaries, this state has something or the other to offer. However, what many people do not know is that one of the most beautiful natural elements that MP has in store is its waterfalls! So, whenever you plan to take a trip to this magnificent state, make sure that you do visit a few waterfalls.

Here’s a list of some of the most important and not to mention majestic waterfalls that Madhya Pradesh has in store for you:

1.     Dhuadhar Waterfall: Located very near Jabalpur, which is again one of the main cities of this state, this waterfall is a regal beauty. It is a sight for the sore eyes to see the water gushing down in all its glory from a great height. It is best if you hire a care from Jabalpur and travel the 25kms to get to this falls. This waterfall is located in a place called Bhedaghat.

2.     Apsara Falls: Panchmarhi is one of the most celebrated places of the state. People generally fix up an accommodation in Bhopal, book a car and travel to Panchmarhi, which is roughly about 200kms away. It is here that this waterfall is located and it adds to the beauty of the entire place, making it truly like a picture perfect conception of paradise. This is unique in the way it falls and creates mini pools along the way!

3.     Bee Falls: The number of important and magnificent waterfalls makes Panchmarhi one of the most sought after tourist destinations. The Bee Falls is another natural wonder tucked away in the serenity of this place, which is surely worth paying a visit to. You can take the same car that you had to go to the Apsara Falls and then visit the Bee Falls or Jamuna Prapat.

4.     Tincha Falls: There is a tiny village known as Tincha near Indore. Indore happens to be one of the major centres of Madhya Pradesh, and hence, travelling to this city and from there to Tincha will not be a problem at all. This village is a tourist destination because of the beautiful Tincha Falls. This makes an ideal destination for a weekend trip if you are based in or staying in Indore.

These are just some of the many waterfalls that you will come across when exploring the “natural side” of Madhya Pradesh. Whatever you do, do pay a visit to these natural beauties, just so that you do not miss out on things as majestic as these!
