Different Types of Display Plinths

by Reg Burn Plastic Fabricator
Display plinths serve the purpose of displaying a wide variety of exhibitory items in shops, retail stores, museums and other exhibition areas. They come in many different types such as polar frosted, multi functional, lightboxes, etc.

Display plinths come in a wide range of types, and are usually used for exhibiting different kinds of retail or exhibitory items. The articles placed on top of them remain visible at all times even in crowded exhibition halls. They can even be easily assembled within a short time. Besides that, display plinths are available in a multitude of colours and shapes that buyers can choose from as per their requirements and preferences. They can also be customised for sporting the brand name or logo of a company.

For using in exhibitions and display areas, one would be able to find several types of display plinths in Sydney. Given below are some of the most common ones; you can also find a bit of info about them here:

Fibre Board :
They generally have an appearance similar to that of black granite. Since fibre board is a sturdy and lightweight material, plinths made from it are quite easy to carry from one place to another and can even be reused in many exhibitions.

Polar Frosted :
They are probably the most commonly used type of display plinths and manufactured primarily with acrylic. Due to their polar frosted surface, they also have a unique quality to resist abrasions and scratches. Although they are generally available in the standard dimensions of 450mm x 450mm x 10mm, many firms in Sydney also provide customised options that can be created as per one’s preferences of size and other specifications like colour, shape and finish.

Multi Functional :
Multi functional plinths come with a sturdy base having a diameter of 400mm. As their name suggests, they can be used for exhibiting a wide range of products and items. Despite of their bulkiness, they can be carried and assembled with much convenience and are also very durable.

Multi Linked :
Sometimes, multiple plinths may be assembled to form a single unit for displaying large items. They are then known as multi-linked plinths or pedestals, and serve as a flexible option that can formed into a small display table or even a staircase.

Lightbox :
These plinths are simple and stylish at the same time, and normally feature a frame made of aluminium with a melamine-coated MDF top and three adjacent sides customised with some chosen logo, graphics or colour. The remaining fourth side has a light box sitting just behind the logo or graphics. They are ideal to be used for displaying items in low-light areas.
