Different Causes Of Water Scarcity.

With the increasing population on the Earth, the demand for every natural resource is also rising very rapidly. When the demand of the population is not met by the available natural resources, then it is considered as the scarcity of that specific resource. Scarcity of water is also one of the most important issues when we talk about any environmental or natural issues. About 70% of Earth's surface is covered by water. However, all of that is not made for drinking. Only 3% of surface water on Earth is suitable for human consumption.

Also, about two-thirds of the water is in the frozen form,i.e., glaciers that are not available for human use. Among the water available for drinking purposes, a large portion is not clean and safe for drinking. Hence, for this reason, water filters are being widely used globally. Water filters are available in different forms like Alkaline Water Dispenser, mineral water filters, etc. While we are discussing the solutions for water scarcity, we must first find out the causes behind it. Below are some of the causes of water scarcity.

●    Pollution of water:- Pollution of water usually takes place in areas where there is no proper sewage system. Pollution results from any of the things like oil, chemicals, fecal matter, etc. Thus, it is important to take care of this issue by using means like a proper sewage system, water filter, etc.

●    Far distance:- There are several rural areas in the world that face the problem of water scarcity just because they are not close to the place where water is available. These areas are usually deserted or secluded places where there are no sources of water available.

●    Drought:- Droughts usually take place in areas where the climate is hot and dry. Areas that are not receiving enough rainfall throughout the year which is insufficient for meeting the water demands of the people residing there. However, measures can be taken by the respective government to improve the condition in these areas.

Water scarcity has become a global issue whose intensity is increasing day by day. Thus, it becomes very important for us to take some serious actions against it. Solutions like saving water whenever possible, educating people related to the severity of this issue, recycling water, promoting the latest technologies required for conserving water, enhancing traditional practices for irrigation in farming, and many other ways may prove beneficial for us.
