• Since less slippery, they are a more preferred choice for floors.
• Honed pavers will require more maintenance than polished stones.

Filled Stone Pavers –

• Honed and filled stone pavers are also a thing. These stones are honed first to smooth their surface and rid of tiny holes. Then, large-size holes are filled with durable, matching color filler substance.
• The purpose of filling is to hide unattractive holes and cracks – the natural imperfections – on the stone surface.
• Though, many people like the rough and natural appearance of stone in their pavement.
• Filling makes cleaning and maintenance a lot easier.
• Filled (and sealed) stone pavers have better resistance against water. They do not let water seep through and cause any damage to the stone or substrate/base.
