Diablo 3 Commodity Auctions Were Nerfed ,Is It Possible ?
The team is hard at work on this, and we'll
provide another update once commodities are ready.I used to tell people to sell
commodity auctions in big chunks because the auction house allowed them to
cancel at any time. Whenever you canceled (prior to this past Tuesday), you
would get back any Diablo 3 gold owed as well as left over commodities. Now,
however, I'm never seeing partial commodity sales. Either they all sell or I
cancel and get them all back. Diablo 3
Commodity Auctions Were Nerfed ,Is It Possible ?
For example, I had 100 Exquisite essences for sale which I obtained from cheap salvaging. I tried to sell them off fast by placing them at 75% the current value. They didn't sell. After an hour I cancelled and none had sold, despite the fact that my listing was still way below the current price for 1x Exquisite essences. I got all 100 back with no gold earned. Next, I sold 1 Exquisite essences for the price I wanted to and it sold instantly. Did it again a few times over just to confirm.
Is it possible that you can no longer get "partial sales" from commodities? If true, then you'll want to sell very small amounts of each commodity in most cases.
Another thing I noticed about commodities was the fact that they didn't refresh values very quickly. Whatever I searched for remained the current price for at least 10-15 seconds. Maybe this is some kind of automatic throttling that Blizzard is doing during peak times. Whatever the reason, the vast majority of my purchases came back with refunds, sometimes for huge amounts of Diablo 3 gold when purchasing gems. I hit search afterwards and the price was identical to when I had hit buyout, despite getting refunds (meaning that the items were worth less than what I initially paid) and the fact that I had just bought some of the supply that influenced the overall price.
After weeks of waiting, Diablo III's Real Money Auction House. Were commodities changed in order to prevent issues they were having previously? I'm OK with these changes as long as Blizzard lets us know that they were made. At least we have a commodity auction house again. What do you think? Are you noticing the same discrepancies when comparing the new commodity auction house to how these auctions behaved previously?
