Unlike the previous water-proof smartphones Cubot X10 and Cubot X11, Cubot 12 is a different kind of smartphone. It packs mainstream but entry-level specs and features elegant design. Meanwhile, Cubot X12 is also a budget 4G phone.
Cubot 12 has very round design and the size is medium, perfect for one-handed operation. On the front, the phone used bezel-less ID design which creats high aspect ratio for the screen and also offers very excellent visual effect. The back of the phone is with brushed metal patterns, giving the whole phone very intense metal texture. Moreover, its bezel is unique designed which seems to be a piece of metal built in. On appearance and design, Cubot X12 is definitely good-looking and elegant.
On hardware, Cubot X12 is not like the powerful ones, but it is also equipped with mainstream specs. On the front, it has a medium size 5.0 inch IPS screen which provides 540 x 960 pixels QHD resolution. It uses the newest 64bit processor from MTK, MT6735M 64bit quad core processor colocked at 1.0GHz.
Cubot X12 smartphone also supports 4G FDD LTE network and dual SIM/dual standby. Cubot X12 offers 1GB RAM+8GB ROM internal storage for basic daily use and its memory is expandable up to 32GB. It is running on the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The whole performance of the phone is pretty nice.
Cubot X12 sports a 2.0MP (interpolation to 5.0MP) front camera and 5.0MP (interpolation to 8.0MP) rear camera, dual camera. The phone has a 2200mAh battery to power up the 5.0 inch QHD screen and low power consumption processor. Its battery life will be pretty decent. In addition, It also supports WiFi, GPS, FM, Bluetooth, Play Store, Tethering & portable hotspot, OTG, etc.
