This year’s Cricket World Cup was without doubt the best of the
tournament. With many high scoring games people got the ultimate treat they
could get. Apart from this the world cup was made more amazing with associate
teams who tried their best to make their place in the world cup quarter finals
but failed in the end. Although the little cricket they played was really
amazing spectators loved watching their match equally when compared to other
teams. It is not yet known either these associate teams will be in the next
World Cup or not but they showed the world that they are capable of some
international cricket.
This year some of the greatest cricket players that cricket has ever
seen will be leaving the international sport. They will be retiring from One
Day International cricket to look forward to their future carriers. Retirement
of major players from two main teams has left many cricket fans around the
world saddened. These two nations are Pakistan and Sri Lanka. From both these
teams key players who have changed the game in the last few years will be
leaving their teams. The gap left by them cannot be filled at any cost.
These players are Shahid Afridi, Misbah-Ul-Haq and Kumar Sangakara.
These three players were one of the best players in current cricketing world.
Shahid Afridi is known to every cricket fan all over the world for his BOOM
BOOM hitting, he was a crowd pleaser and whenever he came in to bat or bowl
crowd started cheering no matter what the situation was. Everyone enjoyed his
strokes although they were unpredictable people always expected something big
from him. He will be missed more than both of the other players due to the
charm he had to himself.
Shahid Afridi was also the most loved player among the betting society.
World loved to bet on him, due to his unpredictability. If he started scoring
he would hit sixes one can’t even think of. He was the best betting option for
anyone without doubt. Coping with him leaving the One Day International cricket
will be a bit hard. There is no one who is as great as him for doing something
against the odds in unpredictable matches. He was able to do things that will
make people win bets that they were never expecting. No the world will be
looking for a new player who will take the place of Shahid Afridi as best betting option in the future. Let’s see who that player will be.
