COVID-19 Situation Is Completely Under Control: Rajesh Tope
by Suraj V. Digital Marketing (sr. SEO Expert)On Wednesday, April 20, Maharashtra Health
Minister, Rajesh Tope while interacting with the media stated
that he has held a detailed review of the COVID-19 condition
in Maharashtra.
He added that there isn't any
need to worry since there hasn't been a considerable surge in cases. According
to him, the situation is completely under control.
In addition to this, he remarked
that they are vaccinating those in the 12-15 and 15-18 age group.
This comment comes in the
backdrop of the Centre writing a letter to five states, including
Maharashtra, advising it to maintain a strict watch and take pre-emptive
action, if needed, in the areas of concern.
In the letter, Union Health
Secretary Rajesh Bhushan, urged states to allow the five-fold strategy of
test-track-treat-vaccination and adherence to coronavirus-appropriate
behaviour, with a particular emphasis on wearing of masks in crowded areas.
On the other hand, data revealed
by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), brings to
light that only 17 per cent adolescent have taken the first dose in
the age group of 12-14 years within a month.
In accordance with the
data, of the 3,95,883 beneficiaries in the age group, only 66,345 (16.76
per cent) have taken the first dose, while 275 (0.07 per cent) have taken the
second dose of the vaccine in the city.
