COVID-19: No Individual Can Be Forced To Get Vaccinated, Says SC
by Suraj V. Digital Marketing (sr. SEO Expert)On Monday, May 2, the Supreme
Court reportedly mentioned that no person can be forced to get vaccinated
against COVID-19.
The judiciary added that it is satisfied with the present vaccine policy.
Therefore, it added that it
cannot be remarked that the inoculation policy is unreasonable or manifestly
arbitrary, reports stated. Based on accounts, the SC declared that the government
can curate policies and put in force certain conditions for the greater public
good.
In addition to this, it uttered
that the condition put into force by certain state governments and
organizations that restrict the access of those unvaccinated against coronavirus to
public places isn't proportional.
Thus, the judiciary opines that
the restricting policies should be recalled in the current conditions.
Moreover, the SC directed the Centre to make public the records on the adverse
effects of COVID-19 inoculation.
On the other hand, on Sunday, May
1, Maharashtra health
minister Rajesh Tope voiced that if coronavirus cases continue
to increase in the state, the compulsory mask mandate will be put back into
action, reported news agency ANI.
Tope added that the government's
purpose is to amplify the pace of inoculation, therefore, they will undertake
all the requisite measures to vaccinate children.
Similarly, Maharashtra chief
minister, Uddhav Thackeray, earlier last week urged citizens to wear face
masks when outdoors. He believes that requisite precautions were
necessary to curtail a possible fourth wave of COVID-19.
