Covid 19 – Safety Measures that Drivers of Private Transfer Services Are Taking

by James Spencer Blogger
Covid 19 has taken a serious toll on the transport industry, including the private transport service. The airports all over Australia are locked down and this has rendered airport transfer service practically non-existent. However, pickup service between various out destinations in and around Sydney is still on and that is what people are relying on these days, instead of public transport, following the outbreak of the virus, if they are to venture out in case of emergencies.

However, this has left the drivers of these cabs as well as these travellers sceptical about each other in regards to getting infected by the virus. However, the cab drivers of these private transfers operating in and around Sydney are following the following hygiene to stay safe.

They Are Avoiding Direct Contact with Others as Well as Their Belongings

Indeed, this is what the cab drivers are doing these days though doing that is not the easiest of things to do for a car driver who is into ferrying passengers all around. However, they are keeping themselves as far away from the passengers as possible in regards to direct contact during the journey.

When it comes to handling the bags and baggage of the passengers, they are not touching them directly. Rather, they are using tissue papers or disposable gloves while picking them up by their handles. Alternatively, they are using tissues to do so and washing off their hands with sanitisers repeatedly. Hence, if you remain sanitised, there is hardly any probability of your getting infected from the driver.

They Keep Washing Their Hands Whenever They Get Chances

To keep at bay any chance of getting infected, they are washing off their hands regularly at the facilities available around the city and doing so for at least 20 seconds with disinfectants. However, it is not always possible to maintain this practice while driving cabs all throughout the day, and over that, they are always handling money. Hence, in most cases, as a backup, they are using antibacterial gels these days to wipe their hands and even the upholstery and the seats of their vehicles in between trips. They are disposing of the wipes as per direction between the journeys.

They Keep a Good Supply of Tissues in the Cab

They are keeping a good supply of tissues for themselves, as well as the passengers to catch sneezes or coughs if you have them during the journey.

They Are Friendly, but Are Strict With the Passengers… for Mutual Safety and Well Being

The drivers providing transport services in Sydney are being friendly, and cordial with the passengers, but strict, if passengers are negligent towards taking the precautions. However, at the slightest hint of any passenger showing symptoms of the virus, they ensure that they follow the basic hygiene rules. They would hand over tissues and wipes to them if required. They would tell the passengers to contain sneezes and coughs. Since the last thing that any of these drivers want is getting ill and in all probability spreading the disease to other passengers.

Thus, you see, all the professional drivers of these transfer companies in and around Sydney are taking a string of countermeasures to keep the risk of getting infected by the Coronavirus at minimal!!
