After
creating my limoncello
i could not simply store it in
unspecified bottles
therefore i made a decision
to
fig up some bottles that I bought at Ikea with some glass etching,we can help you with a
rsglassbottle.
To start I sketched out a lemon slice
style on
a chunk of cardstock. I traced
around the bottom of
2 completely different sized bottles
to form the inner and outer
circles. I then
actor 3 lines through the circles to mark
wherever I
needed to draw
the segments
then sketched them in. Once
i used to be happy I
coloured within the areas
to discard
then cut it
intent on build a
model. I then
derived the pattern onto
pieces of shelf liner vinyl, cut it out
then adhered it to my glass bottles.
Following the
directions, I applied a thick layer of etching cream to the bottle
over
the look space not
cloaked by the vinyl. The etching cream is corrosive
therefore it
is important
to require safety precautions by
victimisation gloves and
protective your work
surface.
conjointly with the
spherical bottle I had
issues with the cream
slippy down the
side
therefore I had
to stay a watch thereon and wipe drips before they went past the vinyl
and onto the glass.
After the cream
assault the bottle for
ten minutes, I rinsed it off and removed the
vinyl from the bottle. By being careful
after I was removing the vinyl
i used to be ready to
reuse it on another bottle. The etching is
light-weight therefore it's a
refined look, but I like
it. Also, since
this might be any citrus slice I
will simply utilise the bottles later
for
fruit drink at
a celebration or
fruit crush at a brunch.
To finish off my bottles I
further slightly tag with "limoncello" written on them and
tied them to the bottles with some string.
currently my bottles look cute enough to match
the deliciously sweet limoncello
within.
