Complete Information For COMEDK 2016 Exam

Association of Medical, dental and Engineering Colleges (AMDEC) under the supervision of Karnataka professional Colleges Foundation (KPCF) conducts the COMEDK  (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental, Karnataka) every year to select candidates for admission into around 20 thousands seats offered at more than 14 medical colleges, 25 dental colleges and about 150 engineering Colleges of Karnataka. This Association conducts two examinations annually which are the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) and Post graduate entrance test (PGET). We will be talking about the COMEDK 2016 Examination in this concerned article.

The COMEDK UGET 2016 will be conducted din the month of May 2016 for which the Application form will get released on the website of COMEDK 2016 in the last week of October 2015. Through this examination candidates will be granted admission to the important courses such as MBBS, BDS, B.Tech and B.Arch. Here is the summary of the examination:

The important dates for the COMEDK 2016 are as follows:

  • Date of release of Notification for the COMEDK UGET 2016  – By last week of October 2015
  • Commencement of Application procedure for the examination  – by first week of  March 2016
  • Last date of form filling procedure  – by first week of April 2016
  • Date of release of COMEDK 2016 Admit card – by third week of April 2016
  • Date of COMEDK UGET 2016 Examination – first week of May 2016
  • Date of Publication of provisional Answer Key on the website as well as cutoff – second week of May 2016
  • Publishing the final Answer Key – last week of May 2016
  • Date of declaration of COMEDK 2016 Result –By last week of May 2016
  • Commencement of Counselling for seat allocation– by second week June 2016 onwards.

The eligibility criteria for different courses at the COMEDK are different and hence must be dealt separately. The eligibility criteria for engineering, medical and Architecture courses are as follows:

  • Engineering: The candidates who want to appear for the B.Tech course must have studied Physics, chemistry and mathematics at class 12th and must have secured at least 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Medical: for Medical and dental courses, the candidates must have studies Physics, Chemistry and Biology at class 12th and must have secured at least 55% in the qualifying examination. Also those candidates who have surrendered their MBBS seats in the previous year are also allowed to appear in the COMEDK 2016.
  • Architecture: The candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination in class 12th. Also, the candidates must have scored at least 80 out of 200 marks in the NATA to be able to take admission here in the COMEDK operated colleges.

The candidates who want to fill the Online COMEDK 2016 Application form must first register for RFA (Request for Application) and furnish all the details such as name, date of birth, marks scored in the qualifying examination, email id, password and phone number.

Once the candidates have registered for the RFA, the candidates would get a unique computer generated code and password via email and phone number.
By logging again with the sent password and unique ID, the candidates would be able to fill the Online Application form (OAF) and complete the registration procedure.
