The Karnataka Examination Authority conducts the KCET as an entrance examination for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate courses in engineering offered by the colleges in the state of Karnataka. - The candidates must pass the class 12th qualifying examination from a recognized board.
- Physics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects along with optional subjects of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science.
- The candidates must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination while the reserved categories can have a minimum of 40% marks.
- The domicile criteria must be fulfilled by every candidate as declared by the Karnataka Examination Authority.
