Complete Information About KCET 2016 Exam

The Karnataka Examination Authority conducts the KCET as an entrance examination for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate courses in engineering offered by the colleges in the state of Karnataka. The official notice stating the scheduled dates for the KCET 2016 will be released in the last week of January 2016. The candidates who want to pursue their graduation in Karnataka need to take the KCET 2016.

 The eligibility criteria for the KCET 2016 must be fulfilled before any attempt to fill the KCET 2016 Application form. The KCET 2016 Application form will be available online. The candidates must fill the form carefully. Any invalid information or false information provided by the candidates might lead to the rejection of the application form. This is a state level entrance examination and the candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the KCET 2016.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates must pass the class 12th qualifying examination from a recognized board.
• Physics and Chemistry are compulsory subjects along with optional subjects of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer Science.
• The candidates must obtain a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination while the reserved categories can have a minimum of 40% marks.
• The domicile criteria must be fulfilled by every candidate as declared by the Karnataka Examination Authority.

KCET 2016 Application Process

• The candidates need to go through the eligibility criteria for the KCET 2016 carefully before applying for the same.
• The KCET 2016 Application forms will be released online.
• The candidates can fill the forms online.
• The KCET 2016 Application forms are expected to be released online in the last week of January 2016.
• The candidates will be required to upload relevant academic documents apart from entering valid information.
• The candidates must make sure they do not provide incorrect information as this may lead to the cancellation of their application.
• The candidates must pay the application fees for the application process to be successful.
• The application fee needs to be paid for obtaining the hard copy of the application form for the KCET 2016.
• The fees can be paid using bank challan or demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Executive Director, Karnataka Examination Authority’, payable at Bangalore.
• The filled application form must be submitted to the principal of the candidate’s respective school/college.
• The final selection of the candidates for the admissions to various colleges in the state will be made based on the merit obtained by the candidates in the KCET 2016.
