Gathering should be one of the most popular professions for making gold, here will do comparison between Mining, Herbalism and Skinning in Wow Mop 5.0. Picking up second gathering profession. want to know from 525 people which is making more gold.

Mining---WOW players can track and pick ores from mineral nodes. Players often get gems and elemental materials when mining. As a miner, players can smelt ores into bars which is useful for blacksmith and the engineering profession. Miners always have a lot of energy that cannot use up.

You will make more gold leveling mining than you will leveling herbalism. The key for either is to make sure you gather (or mine) every time you see one that could give you a skill-up even if it requires you to kill 1-2 mobs. Doing so, you should have no problem leveling herbalism (I was at 375 by lvl62 with no effort).

Herbalism can enable players to track and gather herbs which can be used to create potions. As I mentioned in previous guide, it can be combined with the alchemy and inscription. It can bring players a lot of profits if leveled up. If you want to level up your herbalism, you can check WOW herbalism leveling guide. Herbalism at high levels is also a good source of money, and it is easy and fun to fly around in bird form picking flowers. It also helps you a lot when you're raiding because you will always have a plentiful supply of needed consumables. Mining, by contrast, becomes rather less useful once you've been level 70 for a while.

Knowing the difference between Mining, Herbalism and Skinning in Wow Mop 5.0. players can farm gold much faster. Skinning will enable players to collect leathers from the corpse of mobs. Some mobs are skinnable while others are not skinnable. Skinning is also money making one. A lot of players use to make WOW money in low levels. Skinning is free zero-effort money while leveling. You'll have no trouble buying your lvl 40 mount if you take-up skinning. Not sure it is all that great of an end-game skill, but once you reach 70, switch to something else isn't all that bad.
