Comparison Between Google Maps, Waze, and Apple Maps

by Bella James Writer

While traveling, we often use a navigating app to find the best possible route for us. But it’s quite challenging to decide which navigating app we should be using or which the best one is. Today we will make an unbiased comparison between Google Maps, Waze, and Apple Maps and then decide which one is the best navigating tool among them.

Google Maps

Google Maps provides you with a very clean and straightforward user interface, an outstanding search bar to search any place all around the world, real-time traffic navigation, tools to calculate the time required to reach the destination, and many more amazing tools. It also offers a spoken direction feature that guides you while driving and alerts you when you miss any turn.

Google Maps also allows you to program multiple stops in your ways, shows the colored traffic routes, tells you multiple directions when you start the journey and finds the best and most convenient routes for you. It even gives you the various options to choose the multiple modes of transportation, you can choose a car, bike, walking, bus, or any other public transport, and the app will tell you the fare and time required to reach your destination.

You can also use Google Maps to find various restaurants, you just need to open the menu bar and choose to explore, and the app will find your desired place along with directions to the place.

Despite all these features, Google Maps also has offline support for maps that makes it useful even if you don’t have an internet connection.

Once you open Waze, it will ask you to log in to the account that can be done by connecting either your phone number or Facebook account.  It even allows you to connect your Spotify account with it to manage your music by the Waze app. It also offers some emergency tools that you can use to report car accidents, traffic, road closures, speed traps, or any other problems.

Waze even lets you set a profile picture in your account and read messages too. It allows you to set a future trip as well; for this, you just need to click “GO” and then choose the date and time for your trip. Once you set the date and time, the app will find the best route for you and help you reach your destination quickly.

It provides you with various voices for instructions, and each voice has a specific name such as Nathan, Jane, Kate, Thomas, etc. It even gives you options for fuel stations and prices in the settings that you can use to find various fuel stations for you.

Waze even offers you a hand free navigation feature called Talk to Waze; it uses your voice to take commands and navigate the routes for you. It is loaded with many other fantastic features, and undoubtedly, it is an excellent navigating tool.

Apple Maps

Apple Maps has an attractive and straightforward user interface and has quite nice integration with other iOS apps. You can use Apple Maps to schedule upcoming events, make reservations at restaurants, and do many other things as well.

Apple Maps provides you with various other features, including a Flyover Mode to get a 3D view of the map, a great search bar, alternate road options in case you are stuck in heavy traffic, and many more. It is quite an excellent navigating tool loaded with a bunch of outstanding features and accurate information.

It is all up to you which navigating app you want to use, but I prefer Google Maps as it is very easy to use and compatible with all the devices. So, I would recommend you to use Google Maps. Thank you for reading the article.
