COMEDK UGET 2014 counselling first round will commence on 7th July 2014 and will continue till 16th July 2014. The consortium will organize a Centralized Single window counseling to offer seats to the shortlisted candidates in the undergraduate engineering programs offered at the institutes in Karnataka. The candidates who have been issued Rank card are eligible to attend the counselling.

 

The venue for COMEDK UGET  Counselling is “NMKRV College Mangala Mantapa”, 3rd Block, Jayanagar, (Near South End Circle), Bangalore, 560011

Note: The Rank card is a mandatory document which the candidates must carry to attend the counselling at the venue mentioned above, failing which candidates will not be allowed to enter the counseling venue.

  •   Document verification

Important Instructions to the candidates for COMEDK UGET Counselling

 

  •     The First round of COMEDK UGET Counselling 2014 will be held from 7th July to 16th July 2014 and the first round will comprise of  seven session per day
  •   All the candidates must be physically present to attend the counseling. The candidates are allowed to be accompanied by one person only i.e. one parent or guardian
  • Those candidates who would not be able to attend the First round  of counseling will be eligible to participate in the second round to choose the seats which will remain vacant at that point of time due to withdrawal of seats by the candidates after the seat allotment in first round

 

Detailed procedure of COMEDK UGET 2014 Counselling –

 

1)     Document Verification

Candidates are required to get their documents verified at the counter designated for document verification. Candidates must furnish all the below listed document in original with one set of attested photocopies.

 

Documents required for verification –

 

  •   COMEDK UGET 2014 Admit Card (Test Admission Ticket or TAT)
  •   COMEDK UGET 2014 Rank Card (Printed Copy)
  • 10th standard or School Leaving Certificate or any School or Government record indicating the date of birth.·         12th standard / 2nd PUC or equivalent qualifying examination Marks sheet
  • A Demand Draft for Rs. 50, 000/- drawn on any nationalized banks in favor of “COMEDK payable at Bangalore. Candidates must write the TAT number on the demand draft, if the TAT number is not mentioned; the Demand Draft will not be accepted. The balance tuition fee as applicable and all the original documents are required to be submitted to the College at the time of reporting
  •  Category certificates for all the categories
  • Candidate’s photo ID proof  in  original from   any one of the following - Passport/ Voter ID/Driving License,/ Bank pass book with photo attested by the bank manager/ 12th STD / 2nd PUC Board exam Hall ticket / Admit card, School / College Photo Identity card/Aadhar Card.
  • Parent / Guardian accompanying the candidate must carry any one of the photo ID proof mentioned in original -      Passport/Driving License/ Voter ID/ PAN card/ Aadhar Card/ Bank pass book with photo attested by the bank manager 

2)   

         Candidate’s Registration

 

First there will be biometric process of verification of candidates, after which the signature and photo of the candidates will be verified. After verification only the candidates will be allowed to register and the candidates will be issued a Registration Slip in which they have to fill their Demand Draft details and will also have to fill at least the 3 choices of course / college preference wise which he / she would be willing to opt during the seat selection

 

3)     Exercising of Options by Candidates

 

·         In this round, the registered candidates will proceed for exercising option of course/ college wherein the registered candidates will select seats in accordance with the order of merit. A merit list will be generated for each of the session

·         The candidate with higher rank will get the opportunity first to select the seat as per his/her preference, and then the candidate with lower rank will get the opportunity to select the seat. Course-wise and college-wise availability of seats will be displayed on the screen at the counselling venue which will be dynamic because as the options are exercised by the candidate with higher rank the screen will show one seat less against the course and college from. Once a candidate have selected a seat, it cannot be changed subsequently

 

4)     Seat Allotment

 

·         At last, the candidates will be allotted a seat as per the options submitted by them. The candidates who are willing to accept the seat allotted to them will be required to remit the prescribed fee for the confirmation of allotment after which the candidates will be issued the Allotment Letter.

 

·         The Candidate will have to go to the Bank counter to deposit the Demand Draft for Rs.50, 000/- where they be issued a fee receipt and the allotment letter

 

·         The Allotment letter has built in security features and cannot be duplicated. The candidates have the right to cancel the allotment if the allotment letter is tampered can also claim to withdraw the fee paid by them. Allotment Letter  if lost once will not be reissued in any case
