Comcast offering free Xfinity WiFi hotspots for those imacted by wildfires

To help residents and emergency personnel stay connected throughout the wildfires affected areas, Comcast, the largest broadcasting and Cable Television Company is offering free Xfinity WiFi hotspots. According to a report by NewBay Media, the company will open its Xfinity WiFi hotspot from October 13 so that the residents can keep in touch with their belongings in that region.

Ungated access throughout Napa and Sonoma Counties is available with the “xfinitywifi” Service Set Identifier (SSID).Comcast internet subscribers can use this free WiFi by signing on with their regular credentials. Non-subscribers have to search for “xfinitywifi” network name and then launch a browser. After that they need to locate the “Not an XFINITY Internet Customer” section on the sign-in page to get started.
