Cleaning Your House. Tips for Students – Part 2

by Aaron Clifford Author

Welcome back. I assume you have read the first part of “Cleaning Your House. Tips for Students”. It is really important to refresh your skills and start applying them regularly. However, here in part 2, we will dive in into some details cleaning and organizing your main living area.

Deep clean you main living area at least once per month. Do not get me wrong. You need to sweep your floors daily for at least 15 minutes. If you have recently moved to a newly built house, make sure you order expert after builders cleaning London services. Professional cleaning it required when dealing with after builders.

Declutter the living-room. One of the problems students bump into when moving to a new house is the fact they can not really organize their stuff. Clutter will be gathered really fast when living far from your parents home. The most important tip is to always put things on their place. If you can not find a place for an item, do not hesitate to throw it away. A more advanced tip is to make small storage areas for all you stuff. Remember to finish every task before moving to the next. This is a common error, which leads to distractions and lack of motivation. Improving this skill will not only help you with your cleaning skills, but with your time-management and organization skills. That way you will be never confused where have you left your keys or documents. I strongly advise you to organize your desk. This is one of the most used working areas, so keeping it clean and organized is crucial for your performance.

Store your stuff effectively. Your living-room will be soon full of new stuff. Knowing how to store and organize it is really essential skills, especially for students. Probably, your most used items will be your computer and your textbooks. However, there are plenty of other important things you need to store. Think carefully how often you use each item. You need to use different storage areas, unless you want your living room to be flooded. Make a list of all the things you use daily. These items should be stored near your desk, because they need to be easily accessible. For items that are rarely used, like pool cues, playing cards, books, poker chips, video games, you need to find another storage space. They do not really need to be in the living room. After builders cleaning London team advises to use storage boxes. Take some empty boxes from the local stores and use them to store these items. You can easily store the boxes in your attic or basement, for example. If your place do not include attic or basement, you can use the area under the bed, or the area on the wardrobes.

I hope you now have some more space for your computer and text-books. Remember that clean areas help you successfully prepare for your exams. See you again in Part 3.
