When you deal with a computer which is infected by viruses completely, the best things is to reboot the system with a rescue disk and run a complete virus scan at times. Although, there are a number of ways available to clean your vulnerable PC such as scanning for viruses and booting into an Ubuntu Live CD, but it is a very simple and easy to use solution from a trusted anti-virus provider.

Before using Kaspersky Rescue Disk, firstly you need to visit its official website and download the rescue disk latest and compatible version, and then burn an ISO image file to an optical disc. It is suggested to use ImgBurn, but there are a number of ways to burn an ISO to a disc.

Clean your infected system via Kaspersky Rescue Disk. Steps are:-

  • At first, insert the disc into the PC and reboot it. It will direct you into a new page that states ‘Press any key to enter the menu’, at which you need to hit any key. Of course, you need to enter the menu, however, if don’t do that, it will boot usually into Windows.
  • Hence, you will be able to select whether to use the Text mode or Graphic, and it is recommended to use the Graphical mode if there is any problem.
  • It prompts you to enter the letter ‘a’ to admit the agreement. Only one thing keeps in mind that it didn’t work with a capital letter ‘A’.
  • After a few moments, you need to check the full working environment along with the application screen front and center.
  • Firstly, you need to switch tabs above to the My Update Center, and then hit the ‘Start’ update button to load the most recent anti-virus version from the website; it could be a critical step.
  • Once completed, reverse back above to the ‘Objects Scan’ tab, choose the drives which you want to scan, and then hit the ‘Start Objects Scan’ button.
  • The system scan will start, and remove any of the viruses that it locates. You will be prompted once you tackle a virus, and then select whether to clean the files, mainly anti-virus behavior.
  • In case you want to perform more research on the system, directly access its tools from the menu such as command line, a file manager, and a fully working web browser.
  • Now, it enables you to access the partition of your Windows via the /discs/C: folder, and perform other maintenance work you want.
