Clean India Campaign for Growth of Tourism

K.Chiranjeevi on 24 July 2013 has launched a campaign “Clean India Campaign” to clean all the world heritage site Taj Mahal in Agra.


The campaign is the initiative of Union Ministry of Tourism under the 12th Five year plan with the main objective to boost the tourismJUST CLICK AWAY…http://blog.globalvisiontours.com// sector by providing high quality services, hygienic environment, clean atmosphere and surrounding in an around the tourists destination across the country.  This initiative is really going to help not just the in the inflow of tourists, but will also arise and awaken the people mindset, about how important is to keep the place clean and the benefits that would bring in the long run.


At the launching ceremony, ONGC has taken the responsibility for the maintenance of the Taj Mahal complex.


ONGC adopts Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal the architectural marvel and heritage of India tourism has been adopted by ONGC under the Clean India Campaign on 24th July 2013.


Taj Mahal is the second heritage site adopted under this campaign and project. The first one was Qutub Minar, which a heritage site in Delhi. Qutub Minar is the highest brick minaret in the world and this was adopted by India Tourism Development Corporation in June 2012.


ONGC for betterment and to make the environment around this world heritage site, they are going to take care of each and every single needs now by providing drinking water facilities, cleaning, providing uniform signage in and around garbage clearance, landscaping, installing tourist help desk and keeping volunteers for better management and to take care of the tourists and help them out in times of need.


ONGC along with Taj Mahal, they are also going to adopt and take over the five other world renowned monument that include The Ellora and Elephanta Caves in Maharashtra, Red Fort in Delhi, Golkonda Fort in Hyderabad and Mahabalipuram in Tamilnadu. ONGC is now to play a significant role in order to develop the tourism sector as well as help in preserving these world renowned sites, which are not just important from tourism point of view but they are historically very important too. .
