Initially, in 1980 this company was named still in the form of an individual by having a fishing boat operating in Batang Ketapang Bay, Pontianak, West Kalimantan, whose business was engaged in the capture, collection and processing of fish / shrimp (marine products).

Then in 1984 to 1990, the founder developed his business to be even more advanced, then established a new company in the form of a PT which was named Tirta Khatulistiwa Farming (PT. TKF) its business fields include Arowana Fish Farming and other Ornamental Fish and fresh Fish Processing business in partnership with West Kalimantan Traditional Fishermen, fishing with Fishnet fishing gear. Founder, in addition to helping the West Kalimantan Provincial Fisheries Service carry out Inpres projects to build fishing boats for traditional West Kalimantan fishermen.

In 1990, the Founder began to explore the Capture Fisheries Business with an Integrated Investment Pattern, namely in addition to Tuna Fishing Vessels (Longline) also operated Gillnet, Fishnet and Purse Seine vessels and built facilities for fishermen's needs including shipyards / docking in Bagan Siapi-api, Workshops, Ice Factories, Coldstorage, and Collection / Carrier Vessels.

In 1999 Tirta Khatulistiwa Farming was disbanded, and a new company was formed under the name PT. Cilacap Samudera Fishing Industry Tbk (PT CSFI), for the development of Capture Fisheries Business with integrated investment pattern, namely integrating from Upstream to Downstream Fishing And Fish Processing Industry.

PT CSFI continues to grow and enter its business until it is in the Export-Import arena and is able to meet international demand. With the principle of upholding the trust given by Suppliers and Customers, the Company is able to continue to exist until now.
