Christian Louboutin's New Nail Polish Brings His Famous Soles ADDS SOME SOLE TO NYFW

The week began at Cushnie et Ochs, where the Rivierina 120 brought extra femininity and sex appeal to a hip-hop inspired collection of sleek, modern dresses, replete with cut outs and asymmetry, and form-fitting pencil skirts. Introduced in a pastel palette of yellow, lavender, mint, and peach as well as graphic black and white, Rivierina donned an ultra-shiny patent finish. Already dubbed the ‘new French Manicure,’ manicurist Alicia Torello selected Christian Louboutin Beauté nail colour in La Favorita and Sevillana, designing a chic, deep V manicure inspired by the open backs and bare shoulders of the collection.

Women's Wear Daily reported Tuesday that the shoe designer, known for his Christian Louboutin Ankle Boots is making the foray into the beauty game with a line of nail polishes set to launch Aug. 6.

It's a fitting step for the designer, who used an actual bottle of nail polish to get the color for his signature red soles. After the idea was suggested to him, the move actually seemed pretty obvious. "It made sense to me... a lot of signs were there," he told WWD.
Closing New York Fashion Week on a high note, Naeem Khan presented a masterful collection that took more than 600 hands to produce, from colorful, paisley embroidery to mesmerizing, floor-sweeping ball gowns and ombre beaded cocktail dresses. Inspired by sun-drenched gardens in the South of France and the azure blue waters of Capri, Kahn’s collection transported us to a Mediterranean paradise where Bougainvillea strewn white-washed walls served as the backdrop.  Custom designed Christian Louboutin Shoes in silver mirrored specchio leather befitted the extravagant getaway of Khan’s vison for Spring/ Summer 2016.
