Ladoo comes in several flavours.

•    Plain

You may leave out the chocolate and create a basic Malai Ladoo instead.

•    Ladoo Rasmalai

To create that distinct ras malai flavour, mix in a pinch of powdered cardamom, saffron, rose water or kewra water, and pistachio.

•    Ladoo Rose

To make a rose-flavour ladoo, add two teaspoons of rooh afza or rose syrup.

This has a lot of potentials. Flavours can be added to suit one's tastes.

Ingredients used in making chocolate ladoo:

•    One bowl or 200 grammes of powdered milk

•    Two tbsp of Butter

•    Half bowl or 118 mL of milk – cream could be substituted

•    One-fourth bowl or 60 ml of cream – could be substituted with milk

•    Sugar: One-third bowl or 70 grammes

•    One tbsp powdered cocoa

•    Two tbsp of diced almonds or other nuts of your preference

Instructions to make delicious chocolate ladoo:

•    Melt butter in a heavy-bottomed wok or kadhai.

•    Incorporate the cream and milk once it has melted. Make sure the butter doesn't burn.

•    Bring the cream and milk mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.

•    Lower the flame and gradually incorporate the powdered milk, stirring constantly as it begins to boil.

•    Allow this to get cooked on slow, mixing frequently.

•    After eight to ten mins, the mixture would begin to leave the wok or Kadai's corners.

•    Mawa should be sweetened with sugar.

•    Allow for a moment for the sugar to dissolve.

•    Incorporate the chocolate powder and stir everything together.

•    Mix for another two to three mins.

•    Mix in the almonds or nuts of your choice now.

•    When the mixture has thickened and is starting to leave the edges, turn it off and place it on a dish.

•    Allow for thorough cooling.

•    Take a spoonful of the batter and roll it into a round shape in your hand.

•    Serve with nuts of your preference or cocoa powder as a topping.

•    Keep it in the fridge and eat within eight to fifteen days of purchase.
Notes

•    Cups of normal US size were used.

•    It may be shaped into any shape required.

•    If you overcook it, it would become chewy. You won't be able to shape the ladoos if it isn't properly cooked. As a result, you must be cautious about when to quit.

•    If you can't get them to form, fry them in the pan for another one to two mins. Allow cooling before shaping.

•    Different flavourings could be utilized; see the choices above.

•    Mawa could be used in place of milk powder; see the replacements section above for further information.

•    You can use either cream or milk in place of the other.

Alternatives to Milk Powder

Mawa is commonly used to make this ladoo. If you don't have access to mawa, you may create it with powdered milk. If you have access to mawa, you may use it for powdered milk and butter in this preparation.

Milk Powder is used to make Mawa.

Making mawa utilizing powdered milk is the initial step. To begin, heat some butter in a skillet. Incorporate milk and pure cream into this. Allow it to come to a boil before adding the powdered milk. This combination must be cooked till it begins to escape the pan's borders. One bowl of powdered milk powder must take approximately Ten mins to prepare. Mawa is all set.
