Check TNPDS Smart Card Application Status

The Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System have introduced the new and a modified version of the ration cards and they are called the smart ration cards. They are imbibed with a microchip which contains all the data of the card user. The introduction of smart ration cards is an initiative on the part of the Tamil Nadu government towards a more digital India. This step was taken to track the performance of social schemes helping poor section of the society and do away with corruption

diversion of stock which meant for them.

How To Apply For TNPDS Smart Cards Online

The easiest process for applying for a TNePDS smart card is by using the online portal of Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System (). The following steps must be taken to apply online via the online portal:

a) Visit the official website of Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System: tnpds.gov.in

b) Now, click on “Smart card application”.

c) After this, a form will appear on the screen. All the necessary details in the form should be filled.

d) Upload the necessary documents in PNG, JPEG or GIF format. The uploaded documents should not be more than 2MB.

e) After completing the above steps, click on “submit”.

f) After successful submission of the form, a reference number will be provided that can be used for future reference or tracking down the application form.

How To Track The Application Status Of TNPDS Smart Cards

If you have already applied for the smart card then a reference number could be used to get the details of the application status. The following steps can be taken to check the application status:

a)Visit the official website of Tamil Nadu Public Distribution System.

b)Click on “new card application status” at the top right-hand side of the homepage.

c)Click on the link and you will be redirected to the tracking page where you are required to provide your reference number to track the status.
