If a user has forgotten the password of an Apple account, it can be easily recovered. In order to recover an Apple ID password, a user must remember the email address of his Apple account. A user can reset the iCloud password with following steps:

Two-factor authentication- With this method, the password is recovered using a trusted Apple device. For this, tap Settings option and then Password & Security and after that the option of changing password.

Visit the account page of Apple and tap Forgot Apple ID or password.
Then, enter the Apple ID in the given field.
After that, select the option reset password and tap Continue.
Any of the options among recovery email, security question, or recovery key.

Two-step verification

Go to the Apple account page and tap Forgot Apple ID or password.
Enter the phone number, when asked to do so.
After that, enter the Apple ID and select the suitable option and tap Continue.
Further, enter the verification key and choose a trusted device.
Create a new password and tap reset password to save the changes.
Change Apple password on iPhone

Open the Settings app on the iPhone.

Then, tap Password & Security.
After that, tap Change Password.
