Charleston Urgent Care Experts Offer Covid & Flu Test & Therapy At Home

GoMed Mobile Healthcare, an urgent care provider serving communities in Georgia and South Carolina, returns to Charleston with its Mobile Urgent Care Services!

That's right—after a brief hiatus, their team of emergency room-trained physician assistants and nurse practitioners is back and ready to serve patients in the Downtown Charleston, Daniel Island, Isle of Palms, Mount Pleasant, and Sullivan’s Island areas.

The GoMed urgent care specialists can treat a variety of health issues, ranging from common cold and flu to acute sports injuries. The team also carries and dispenses common non-narcotic medications, antibiotics, and steroids, and can administer Rapid and PCR tests for COVID-19, Strep, Mono, and Flu A and B.

The mobile approach allows all physicians and practitioners to provide treatment in the comfort and convenience of your home. Other benefits include fewer hospital visits, direct communication between patient and provider, lower costs, and improved access.

For its work, GoMed Mobile Urgent Care received the Best of Georgia Regional Winner award in the Urgent Care category from the Atlanta Business Journal. In 2022, it also won its fourth consecutive Best of Peachtree City award in the Mobile Urgent Care category.

GoMed Mobile Urgent Care will resume operations with a limited schedule of Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and expects to return to a full 7-day schedule soon. You can book appointments online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or via GoMed’s Care Coordinators on the phone between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., 7 days a week. Same-day appointments are available.

GoMed accepts most major health insurance plans. They also offer affordable self-pay options that, on average, cost less than other urgent care providers.

“After being in the Charleston market since 2019 and restructuring our approach to the Charleston market, we have returned stronger than ever,” said GoMed CEO, Scott Preacher. “The health of our patients and their families is GoMed’s number one concern. We can’t wait for our patients to have our GoMed SUVs back in their driveways.”
