IPL 2020 was the worst IPL year in Chennai Super Kings history. CSK's team finished seventh in that season. Keeping this in mind, Dhoni's team does not want to leave any stone unturned this season. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is preparing for IPL-14 with his team, has added a special player with him. The name of the player is Fazal Haq Farooqui.
Afghan bowler will get batsmen ready
Dhoni has included this unknown face in his strategy. You will not see this fast bowler from Afghanistan in CSK's playing XI. But on the nets, all the batsmen of the team including Dhoni will get ready to deal with the opposing teams. That is, Farooqui has joined the CSK camp as a net bowler.
When Farooqui left to join the CSK team in Mumbai, the Afghanistan Cricket Board itself informed about this from their social media account. After reaching Mumbai, Farooqui will be the first quarantine, after that he will join the training with the team. The Afghanistan Cricket Board wrote on its Twitter,
"Young fast bowler Fazal Haq Farooqui has left for India, where he will be the net bowler of CSK for the upcoming season of IPL."
The 20-year-old paceman recently made his debut for Afghanistan in the third T20 against Zimbabwe. In the debut match, Farooqui took a wicket, and Afghanistan won that match by 47 runs.
Farooqui has taken 22 wickets in 12 first class matches. Apart from this, he has played 12 List A and two T20 matches.

CSK will play in a changed jersey for the first time
This season CSK's team will be seen with their changed jerseys for the first time. This time CSK also has Camouflage in Jersey, which is designed in Jersey as a tribute to the Indian Army.
The IPL 2021 season will begin on 9 April. Chennai team will start their campaign against Delhi Capitals on 10 April.
