CDS-II 2015 Eligibility Criteria- A Must Look on

Combined Defence Services or CDS exam is carried out twice in a year and the first of which has already been carried out.

Eligibility criteria- what is it all about?

Eligibility criteria is a set of terms and conditions that are set with respect to the age, nationality, educational qualification, and physical standards. These must be satisfied by anyone who wishes to appear in CDS II 2015 exam. Any candidate failing to satisfy any clause then he would not be considered as eligible. CDS – II 2015 Eligibility Criteria

 
1.Nationality

Talking about the nationality, just make sure that you are-

1. An Indian citizen, or
2. A subject from Bhutan or from Nepal, or
3. A Tibetan refugee who came and settled in India before 1 July 1962, or
4. A person having Indian origin who has come from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma and East  African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam to settle permanently in India.

2. Marital Status

1. For IMA or Indian Military Academy – you must be Unmarried
2. For INA or Indian Naval Academy – you must be Unmarried
3. For AFA or Air Force Academy – Unmarried till 25 years
4. For OTA or Officers Training Academy – either Married or Unmarried
5. For OTA or Officers Training Academy – either Unmarried or Widowed (SSC Women Non-Technical Course).

3. Age and Date of Birth under CDS 2015 Eligibility Criteria

1. To get admitted into Indian Military Academy – the Male candidates must not be born before 2nd July 1992 and after 1st July 1997.
2. To get admitted into Indian Naval Academy – the Male candidates must be born between 2nd July 1992 and 1st July 1997.
3. To get admitted into Air Force Academy – candidates should be aged between 20 to 24 years and not born before 2nd July 1992 and after 1 July 1996.
4. To get admitted into Officers Training Academy – Male candidates born between 2nd July 1991 and 1st July 1997.
5. To get admitted into Officers Training Academy – Female candidates born not before than 2 July 1991 and after than 1 July 1997 (SSC Women Non-Technical Course).

4. Educational Qualification

As a basic you must have a degree from any recognized university but depending on to which academy you wish for, you might need a B.Tech degree.
Note: According to the CDS Eligibility Criteria 2015, those candidates who are in final year of their graduation can apply, provided that they produce the passing certificate of the qualifying examination to Army Head Quarter or Rtd CDSE Entry, West Block III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066.

5. Physical Standards

No matter if you have each and everything mentioned above but you also need to be physically fit as per the physical standards set. You have to adhere to the various body measurements that will be required for final selection.
