CAT 2017 Notification - Be Ready For Approaching CAT Examination

About Common Admission Test (CAT)

CAT stands for Common Admission Test that is one of the toughest examinations in India. It is a competitive exam organized by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) to provide admission in top 19 Institutes and in various top most business schools around the country. CAT 2017 Seat Quota Category Wise

In Common Admission Test, there is no limit for the seats. Except for the seat number it has some seat quota according to the categories. According to this quota, each category has its definite seat quota such as:

• ST- 7.5%

• SC- 15%

• OBC- 27%

• PWD- 3%

According to the quota, Scheduled Tribes have 7.5%, Scheduled Castes have 15%, Other Backward Class have 27% and Persons With Disabilities have 3% of total seats. Other than these seats the rest (45.5%) seats are decided for General category candidates. There is no special seats reserved for female candidates.
