CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) has lately announced changes to Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) guide/programme. The whole world is really surprised for this as they have opened 50 streams and CAP is now for 25,000 applications in total. Also, in one particular stream out of 50, maximum intake will be 1000, which means that no more than 1000 in one particular stream mentioned in 50 occupations.

Any one that scores the points 67 they have mentioned and also is with education and experience in the 50 categories mentioned by CIC, then they do not need to have job in hand to move to Canada.

First, the person should see if he/she fits into any one of 50 occupation list and if yes, then start the process.

The process of points calculation:

Education: Doctors 25 points, Masters 23, and Bachelors 21.

Language (IELTS):     Speaking 7 – 6 points, 6.5 – 5 Points, 6 – 4 points.
                Listening 8 – 6 points, 7.5 – 5 points, 6 or 7 – 4 points.
                Reading 7 – 6 points, 6.5 – 5 points, 6 – 4 points.
                Writing 7 – 6 points, 6.5 – 5 points, 6 – 4 points.

Wife/Husband IELTS : Reading 3.5, writing 4, listening 4.5, and speaking 4 – Then 5 points extra.

Work Experience: 1 year – 9 Points, 2-3 points – 11 points, 4-5 years – 13 points, 6+ years – 15 points.

Age: 18-35 – 12 points, every year above minus 1 point.

Relatives in Canada: Who are 18 year and older then, 5 points extra. Should be Citizen or permanent resident of Canada.

Also all applications need Police Clearance Certificate and funds in bank

It will take 6-10 months for processing as per Canadian High Commission.

Government Fee: $ 550 per adult and $ 150 per dependent children.
