Can You Use Dry Ice In An Ice Bong?

by Richard Lawrence SEO

The short answer is no. There are a number of reasons why this isn't a good idea. First off, it's dangerous, as the extreme temperatures of dry ice will most likely damage your respiratory system, and the last thing you want to do after hitting the bong is worrying if you've destroyed your lungs while you're at it, to die.

In addition, the extremely low temperatures will most likely damage your bong beyond repair. In addition, normal ice is much easier to obtain and fulfills its function perfectly. That being said, the dry ice would cover the smoke as it clouds up in the chamber and works its way up your throat, and who would want to miss that?

How do you use an ice bong?

Using an ice bong is extremely easy. In most cases, you simply drop ice cubes down your throat and the ice catcher will prevent them from ending up in the water chamber. But how much ice should you use? That's entirely up to you. You can also fill your bong up to the mouthpiece for extremely smooth hits, but even a single ice cube has a noticeable effect.

But here's a warning! Keep an eye on the water level in the chamber. When the ice melts, it runs into the water and if you keep adding more, it will eventually flow out of the carb hole or reach your head via the chillum!

Can you put a bong in the freezer for a cooler smoke?

Whether or not you can freeze them will ultimately dictate the style of your cheap bongs. While all could be fine, there's a good chance your bong will crack if first exposed to freezing temperatures and then extreme heat. Even the thickest gas that bongs are made of is susceptible to thermal shock. However, there are some ice bong shapes that allow you to freeze your own bong as well, but these are specialized products.

There are many other approaches that won't endanger your bong or slash your hand, so we'd recommend opting for these options instead. Given the price of these cool bongs and how well they do their job, there's no need for the extra hassle of freezing your bong.

Is an ice bong worth the extra investment?

For the majority of smokers, ice bongs are worth every penny. Most bongs these days come with ice notches by default, meaning it's not an additional piece of equipment you have to raid your account to purchase.

In fact, an ice bong is the cheapest way to improve your life as a bong smoker. Compared to the prices of percolators, pre-coolers, ash catchers and glycerin coils - which can cost you bucks –Ice bongs are an effective and economical upgrade. The only downside is the risk of flooding your bong, but with proper care and awareness, there's nothing wrong with incorporating an ice bong into your life. Thanks to the cooler smoke and improved filtration, hits will feel significantly smoother and, in the long run, your lungs will too.

Before you go for some futuristic bong craft with different glass attachments that reaches to the ceiling and confuses you if you're even too stoned to put it into words, try an ice bong and see if it does the trick.
