Ghee is basically the clarified form of butter which has been skimmed away from the milk

solids. Being free from lactose and casein ghee is perfect for them who are sensitive to dairy products. But don't worry, replacing butter with ghee will be a great idea to add extra nutrients to your baked goods. There are too many reasons for replacing butter with ghee -

  1. Don't worry about the taste. Ghee has a nutty toasted aroma that will create magic to your baking.

  2. It's high in saturated fats that are perfect for locking the moisture content in the cake or cookies or croissants.

  3. The semi liquid texture of ghee is perfect for different baking preparations like greasing the baking tray or mixing with batter etc.

  4. A 100% grass-fed cow ghee needs no refrigeration support. Does ghee need to be refrigerated? The answer is no. But you need to use a top-quality ghee to get longer shelf-life.

  5. As we all know that baking is a high heat cooking method and so using butter for baking is not a good idea. Ghee offers much higher smoke point than butter which makes it a safer choice for baking.
