Burger King is now even serving beers in UK with plans to expand this item in other locations.

Burger King recently made the decision of reverting to its traditions and roots in terms of its menu, serving grilled burger as it has for many years now, but keeping a recent addition it made – hotdogs – on the traditional menu. Now the multinational food chain is adding beers on its menu and is serving them in the United Kingdom, but only is some of the locations.

The hamburger restaurant chain, Burger King is adding beers on its menu in the UK in a few locations. For now, this only alcoholic beverage will be served in the UK outlets of the company. This new addition is going to be served from 11:00 AM to 8:00PM, which means that at least the outlet will not be turned into a bar for late night beer and hamburger services.

The fast food restaurant will ironically serve American brand in the United Kingdom, with 5% of alcohol in them. The center in this new experiment of the food chain is the outlet in Waterloo Station after the approval is attained from the local council. The company has further plans of expanding this service to other outlets in the UK, which is not to be as easy as it might sound, as attaining the necessary approvals from regulators can be a difficult task. The local government in Paddington and Victoria recently turned down this idea.

Burger King is not the first fast food chain that is planning on adding an alcoholic beverage at its burger points; Taco Bell has been selling frozen drink that are made out of vodka and tequila at some of the locations. There is even a Burger King Whopper Bar in Florida and Las Vegas that has been in the business of selling beers since 2010 now.

Most of the customers of Burger King are families and children, and it should consider that woozy customers might be the cause of trouble at some point, so it should consider all possible outcomes that can happen from this alcoholic addition. Since this is not a permanent change and is only being experimented in some locations of UK and Europe, the company will know what it is up against if it wants to make this product permanent.

The multinational hamburger chain was given permission to serve beers in the UK last year. When asked about this development, a spokesman said that the company is simply catching up with the world. This addition might help it to receive a boost in sales of their food too, as customers will crave food once they consume beers at the restaurant. Grilled burger and hot dogs with beers is not an offer many customers would like to refuse.
