B.R.A.K.E.S. safe-driving tips
by Puton The Brakes Puton The BrakesI’m Doug Herbert, founder of the B.R.A.K.E.S. teen safe driving program. These tips are going to help make you a more responsible driver.
Now, we’re going to talk
about airbags. These airbags are designed to help keep you safe in the car.
But, unless you’re in the car seated properly, those airbags can’t do their
job. And remember don’t let anything get
between the airbag and you. You want
that to be free space, whether it’s a water bottle, your watch, your hand,
don’t get between the airbag and yourself.
When that airbag comes out
at 200 miles an hour, it needs to be able to go off, come out about eight or
ten inches, and then it’s going to stop and quickly deflate.
Thanks for taking the time
to listen to our B.R.A.K.E.S. safe-driving tips. By implementing these tips in your everyday
driving, you’re going to be a safer and more responsible driver. If everybody
is safer on the road, that makes us safer as well.
