Blissful Bhubaneswar

by Manish Kumar Marketing Head

The capital of Odisha, Bhubaneswar, is not a regular city. It is a beautiful city having the most serene temples situated with. Or, let is just be called the city of temples itself. This temple city of India has over 1000 temples. This makes the air around the city so pious! So pure!

The temples have a lot of stories to tell. Out of the thousand temples, some of the most magnificent ones are the Lingaraja Temple, Muktesvara Temple, Rajarani Temple, Ananta Vasudeva Temple and many more. The carvings on the walls of those beautiful temples are the main storytellers of the times ago. Through these temples, it clearly stands out the richness of the culture of Bhubaneswar. To get an experience of this blissful city, tourists around the globe come over to Bhubaneswar to get a touch of these serene temples. There are numerous hotels in Bhubaneswar which are extraordinary at their job, that is, providing fine hospitality. Hotels are one such thing that really adds up to the tourism of a city, that too exponentially. If there are a lot of interesting places to go or to do in a city, but the facility of proper accommodation is not up to the mark, then it might make a tourist to reconsider to whether or not to visit the city. This particular point is definitely not a point of consideration for the t
ourists coming to Bhubaneswar.

There are a lot of temples to see in Bhubaneswar. But there are a few places which are not in Bhubaneswar but are just 2-3 hours drive away, and a “must visit”. One is the Sun Temple in Konark. This temple is the epitome of a high degree of intelligence. The carvings are spell-bounding for sure. But the main thing about this temple is its most intelligent designing. That is, there is a particular dome, which is the main dome in that whole complex, through which the sun is visible, right in the center, as it rises, every single morning! Such is the perfect mathematical architecture of those days. Hence, the temple is known as the Sun Temple, definitely dedicated to Lord Sun. The other one is the famous Jagannath Temple. It is way more famous than the Sun Temple. It is considered to be one of the four most pious pilgrimage sites of India. People come in huge numbers to get a glimpse of the Lord Jagannath or to at least breathe the same air as piousness of the temple.

Bhubaneswar is very well connected to all the major cities of India through airways and railways. Railways may take more time, but it adds its own flavour of the journey to the whole holiday. Hotels in Bhubaneswar near the railway station are the one-stop solution for accommodation, for a person coming by train. A person who comes to Bhubaneswar, blessings is the best souvenir that he or she takes back home.
