BITSAT 2014 is an entrance exam conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) yearly to admit candidates into its prestigious engineering UG courses. Candidates who aspire to undertake B.Tech or B.E. degree program in BITS has to attempt the exam and qualify it with better marks to get a seat in any of its three campuses situated at Pilani (Rajasthan), Goa (Goa) and Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh).

BITSAT 2014 Exam Pattern

Also known as BITS Admission Test, this exam is conducted purely ONLINE where candidates have to attempt it using a computer system and an active internet connection. They have to mark the correct option from the given set using mouse. The exam would be composed of questions from Physics, Chemistry, Math, English and Logical reasoning, all from the level of Class XI and XII.

There would be an option of extra 12 questions if the candidate attempts questions before the provisioned time. On selecting the extra set, option to surf the answers and alter in the previous main set would be disabled.

There would be 150 questions in total, for every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

BITSAT 2014 Eligibility

Before applying for the exam through online application form, candidates must read the eligibility conditions thoroughly in order to see if they are valid to take the exam or not. These conditions describe various clauses in terms of age, educational qualification that decides a candidate’s eligibility.

To be eligible, a candidate must have scored a minimum aggregate of 75% in PCM and English and 60% individually in Physics, Chemistry and Math.

BITSAT 2014 Application Form

To apply for the examination, candidates have to visit the official site of BITS and fill the form with the correct details. Afterwards, they have to remit the form fee through demand draft by February 2014. Then, the printout of the form along with the transaction receipt must be sent to the following address:

 If the candidate wishes to choose Dubai as exam centre, he/she have to pay an additional fee.

BITSAT 2014 Hall Ticket

Once a candidate has filled the form and made the payment, he/she would be able to download the admit card from the official website itself around mid week of April 2014. To take the exam, they are required to bring the admit card to the exam hall. It is essential that admit card is kept safe and sound till the admission process is over and the candidate is allotted seat.

BITSAT 2014 Result

The result of the entrance examination would be announced on the official site after some time of exam conduction. To view the result, candidates have to enter their roll number and birth date. In the result, they would be displayed their individual examination score. Based on the score, a merit list will be released in which candidates would be arranged in the order of their ranks which correspond to the exam score.
