Big Learner Relay Drive Your Spots Off for Children
in Need
06 November 2015: After last years success, Catz-i.com Driving Instructor Claire Davidson will again proudly display a 'Golden
Roof Box' (and Pudsey off course), on top of her Learner car on Thursday 05 November 2015 and be giving a
driving lesson with a difference in aid of
BBC's Children in Need.
The 'Big Learner Relay' will cover 2,800 miles across the UK, over 14 days with 180 Learner Drivers transporting the
golden roof box for a second year running.
The BLR was the brainchild of
colleague Driving Instructor Louise Walsh and raised a total of £61,215.32 smashing the
original £5,000 target, while supporting disadvantaged Children and their families across
Scotland and the UK. The events are also being supported by Cars, such as Jonny
Herbert, Chris Evans, Shane Ritchie, Peter Andre & the popular group Brixton, among
many others.
Thao Do this years lucky Learner
will be part of the East of Scotland leg of the "Big Learner Relay",
where the golden roof box (and 'Pudsey' of course), will cross Scotland and the
UK, but before a mile is driven, over £8,400 has been raised already!
The relay will consist of a convoy
of Driving Instructors and their Learners and departs from Asda Dunbar towards South
Queensferry on 05 November 2015 at 6.00PM.
Catz-i.com are also holding another events to raise
money, where teens from the age of 13-17 yrs will be able to take pad in off
road driving at Eastfortune Racetrack 55 14 November 2015 and 'Drive Your Big Spots Off'
for sick and disabled children and their families on 15 November 2015. All of the
money raised from the events is being donated and they hope to raise a further £600
in the process.
