BEST’s Multi-Purpose Mobile Vans Will Enable Mumbaikars To Pay “These” Utility Bills

According to the latest reports, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) will introduce multi-purpose mobile vans that could move around Mumbai in order to enable Mumbaikars to pay their utility bills.

Based on accounts, the said initiative is said to commence from Thursday, April 7 wherein such a first mobile van will be put to use in south Mumbai. Citizens will reportedly have access to pay for a range of utilities includes among others:

Prepaid and Postpaid mobile bills
Gas
Electricity
School Fees
Cable
Internet
Telephone landline
Broadband
DTH
Water
Insurance Premium
Buy/Renewing FastTag
Property Taxes
Municipal Taxes And Bills
Housing Society Charges

Citizens can make their payment by means of cash or through digital means that include credit or debit cards, UPI or RuPay.

BEST, General Manager, Lokesh Chandra, was quoted in narratives elaborating on how the services will commence from Thursday with one van this week. However, in aggregate five vans will be put to use.

It has been reported that BEST officials claim that the one-of-its-kind mobile van will be on the move and will be parked at designated areas throughout Mumbai for a stipulated duration.

While the timings are yet to be finalized, accounts allege that the mobile vans could play from 8 am to 7-8 pm. A timetable will soon be released highlighting the location of the mobile vans. Recently, the BEST also permitted users to pay their electricity bills through the “Chalo App” which offers a range of services to its users.
