Whether you are a fresher or a professional diver, the experience and excitement of diving never godown. Andaman is one of the best places to try your diving passion. The experience of diving in the clouds of colorful species under the water of the Andaman, is completely mesmerizing. Scuba diving in Andamans, is one of the major tourist attractions due to the crystal clear water and blue skies.

Below are some of the safety tips for your scuba diving experience in the islands of Andaman:

1. Get yourself trained on the basics: Many fresher, who do not know to dive, can also try scuba diving in Andamans, under special training and guidance. This makes you more comfortable under water. If you know to swim, then diving would not that that difficult, compared to people who don’t know to swim at all. If this is your first time of scuba diving, then make sure you do not go very deep underwater. A depth of 30 feet is the max that you can afford.

2. Keep breathing: We often tend to get scared underwater and forget to breathe ina comfortable manner. Remember to breath slowly and just relax, as you are into the experience of the most wonderful gift given by nature. Do not take short breaths and breathe as if you are enjoying every moment of it. Holding the breaths under water may damage your lungs.

3. Come back in shape before you try scuba: Do not mistake the thought of coming back in shape by being a macho man. You do not need to spend hours in the gym for trying scuba diving. The meaning of being in shape means that you are physically fit. By staying in shape and being physically fit, you could enjoy swimming under the water, without any fear and stress.

4. Do not be over confident: Irrespective of how good you are to dive in the swimming pool, it is important that you dive with a professional in a new area. These areas are new and you would not know what lies under water. If you are a professional, then you must keep an eye on your buddy to ensure that everything is ok. One single mistake can lead you of your friend in a situationof life and death. Remember, no matter how beautiful the ocean of Andaman looks, it is an OCEAN and holds quite unknown deep secrets.

5. Track the weather: If you are diving with a local diver, then you are lucky, as they would suggest you the best time to dive and then it is your call to take a decision. However, if this is your own planned visit, then  you know your safety better than anyone else. Check the proper weather and waves before taking the decision to try scuba diving.
