After a successful event in 2022, with an estimated 10,000 guests, the Colorado Caveman Music Festival has announced that it plans to return in 2023, with 20+ Americana musical groups over the course of three days and activities for everyone, ranging from hiking to fishing.

The Caveman music festival takes place at Monument Lake Resort, in Weston, Colorado, on the Labor Day long weekend. The festival website showcases the results of the highly successful 2022 event and explains what festival-goers can expect to see in 2023, though many details have not yet been released.

Tickets for the event range from single-day passes with no accommodations to full weekend luxury passes with all the fixings. The festival’s Super VIP pass includes three days of VIP accommodations in a lodge, RV site, or cabin for up to 4 people. It also includes two festival passes, a shuttle service, a $50 credit, VIP access to the private bar, private bathrooms, and any shows.

When asked about the musical lineup, a spokesperson said, “Americana Music is an amalgam of American music formed by the confluence of the shared and varied traditions that make up the musical ethos of the United States, specifically those sounds that emerged from the Southern United States, such as folk, gospel, blues, country, jazz, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, bluegrass, and other external influences.”

While the full line-up has not been announced, there has been speculation about the return of some headliners from 2022, such as Zack Bryan, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, or Grace Potter. Keep checking back, as artists will be added to the lineup throughout the year, chosen from Americana favorites.

The festival will also provide opportunities to explore up to 368 acres of prime hiking territory, fishing for brown and rainbow trout that can reach up to 8 pounds each, and a range of rental options for boating on Monument Lake.

A spokesperson for the festival said, “Enjoy live music, hiking, fishing, and the last of the summer sun. Finish your summer off with three days in the mountains listening to your favorite artists. Caveman Music Festival at Monument Lake Resort in Colorado is the perfect place to grasp the last sun-soaked days of summer.”

It doesn't matter if your idea of a good time is listening to your favorite band, fishing for massive trout, taking a long hike - or all of the above.
