by Austin Stanfel Building a Foundation for the Future
Children love to play in the playgrounds. After all, it helps them in satisfying their curiosity, enhance their imagination, along with their thirst for adventure. Moreover, activities in the school playground equipment are more than just 'playing.' They are vital for the development of 5 senses in children, and also help them in proper physical growth. Considering all of these benefits, informed parents often encourage their children to spend at least an hour playing outside.

However, there are several safety precautions that parents need to take for their children, especially on hot sunny days. Children will certainly not care how bright it is out there and will run straight ahead.

A little sunscreen before letting your children out can have a lot of benefits that include blocking acne and prevention from sunburn. This can go a long way.
In this article, we talk about the significant benefits of sunscreen for your child:

Prevention from painful burns

Sunburn is a real issue, especially on hot sunny days. In case children go out to play without a sunscreen, they can get bad sunburns. The extent of the sunburn primarily depends on the skin-type of the child and the period of exposure. Moreover, those who live close to the equator have a higher risk of sunburns because the UV radiation at that part of the Earth is more elevated in intensity.

Typical symptoms of a sunburn may include the following:

Peeling
Redness
Itching
Swelling

Allow you to block harmful UV rays

The Earth's atmosphere has multiple layers. Most of the protection comes from the ozone layer, which absorbs dangerous UV rays. These rays can damage DNA and cause skin cancer.

While sunlight is essential for health, do remember that it can also harm children. Even on rainy and cloudy days, the skin can be damaged by the UV rays that reach the surface. In this regard, a little sunscreen can prevent UV rays from penetrating the skin of children.

At the same time, long-sleeved clothing can also decrease their exposure to the harmful UV rays.

Prevents acne
Sun exposure can worsen the damage of acne, especially among children who are already prone to developing it. At the same time, those children who have perfect skin can experience inflammation, redness, and an uneven color tone due to sunlight.

In case your child is prone to acne, make sure that you are using an oil-free sunscreen which is specially made for those who are likely to acne.

Enhance the health of the skin

Essential skin proteins that include keratin, elastin, and collagen determine the health of the skin. Sunscreen prevents the sunlight from reaching these proteins, as a result of which the skin stays radiant and smooth.

In this regard, a sunblock with SPF 30+ should be used during the summertime. Just use enough so that all exposed areas include ears, lips, arms, neck, and face remain covered and protected.

Remember, precautions are better than having to spend money on treatment later. used commercial playground equipment
